For All the Mother's

Hi All!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day in the United States. I remember back home in Detroit I walked into my butcher's shop and was energetically greeted with, "Happy Mother's Day".  I responded, it's not Mother's Day. He replied, it is in Syria. I'm Father and Mother to my two girls so I am celebrating Mother's Day. I smiled and happily  greeted him with "Happy Mother's Day".

I hope  we all have his attitude on this Mother's Day, that no matter what the circumstances are celebrate your special day. I'd like to wish each and everyone of you whether you gave birth to a child or you standing in raising a child, "Happy Mother's Day".

I'd like to share a special call with you.  kindly dial 1-832-225-5021.
You can contact me for more information/

Enjoy your special day.

Ya!! We went to the State Fair

I almost slipped up and missed posting. I have got to get back on track in posting everyday. We missed the polo party but made the State Fair. Neither myself nor B'girl wanted to get up Saturday. We didn't leave going to the State Fair until 3 almost 4 pm. It's been nearly 25 years since I've been to a state fair. Yes, we did the fried food circuit, but the most exotic food was B'girl's fried Twinkie.

We did the game section and I even got on some rides with her like Evolution. A euphoric experience I will not be repeating. On a giant Ferris wheel ride that took you 100 ft. in the air you had a beautiful view of Phoenix spread out in front of you. Magnificent.

Today, I didn't even read the paper until 8am. Smile My bones were going ," Yeah, its our turn" so I have been pretty stationary most of the day. Next week is a long one so I listened to my body and did not push it.

I made lunch and I'm going back to lie down as I have an early trade event tomorrow at 7:30 am. Dinner will be vegetable pizza or a big salad.. After all those fried goodies yesterday the body needs a rest.

B'girl is a happy camper. Memories made.

What did you do to get your family away from the electronics and out making memories.? Please share.

Countdown to School starting Monday August 8

Countdown to the last days before school starts. We made a run through Fashion Square mall to my daughter's favorite stores. I bought five pair of jeans from one store, my daughter's favorite. I asked the cashier what was my bonus. She looked at me funny. I repeated it and explained , I just purchased five pair of jeans on sale,  but I think I should receive some kind of bonus. She stated she couldn't include anything. Having learned from my father that the only dumb question is the one NOT asked, I requested the manager. He was standing there at the register with us the entire time. Now mind you I was being very nice and laughing as I repeatedly made the request. He said I can't include any thing. I stated, Yes you can. I am purchasing five items in one transaction. I said I sell the jewelry I'm wearing and if I have someone purchase five items in a single transaction they don't have to ask, I'm giving them SOMETHING.  He said,  several items and I didn't know what they were. When I asked my daughter and she told me I said, No. I was nice the entire time. He said I'll be right back.

When he returned he  had three items my daughter would use. I told her to pick the one she liked. He said , No gave her all three. The also gave us a coupon for the next sale. Thank you Daddy (now an Ancestor) for teaching me not to be afraid to speak up and to ask for what I want. My Daddy taught us there are only two answers to a request Yes or NO. Maybe is a Yes with conditions. Whatever the outcome, don't take it personal.

What lesson were you taught as a child that you use to this day?

I'm going to make the "Dragon's Blood" stone into a  pendant and post it probably Saturday I have clear  picture of the final design in my head so I can execute the pendant now. (Those of you who follow my blog know I can't draw a lick.)

As always you purchase my "pretties" my clicking on the title.

Baby Girl Turns 12 Tommorow

My baby turns 12 tommorow. I remember when she was in the terrible two's and would climb into our laps with a book. You could not move until you read the book to her.

Now its honor roll, mandarin chinese, volleyball, makeup and school dances.

Next up cheerleading (do they still call it that?)

And, no I am not getting older just mellower. LOL
