Hi All! I've been missing in action trying to streamline my life so that I can better take advantage of opportunities that come my way. I will be restarting my tech series as of this Monday. Enjoy the video and please leave a comment.
Tell me you watched that video dry eyed? Leave a comment telling me what you thought of this video.
This video made me miss My Daddy so much, he died in 1997. This could very easily have been my Daddy. He was always there for us. All seven of us. I can't remember a swim meet, basketball tournament, play or any other activity where my Daddy was not there. If you have or had a Daddy that stood by you , please leave a comment and share a memorable memory of him with the rest of us.
Please share with everyone this is so positive and uplifting.
I loved this when I heard it, a beautiful way to deal with an ugly subject. This is the work of Eve Ensler, she of the Vagina Monologues, to deal with the increasing incidents of rape. This February 14, 2013. There will be events taking place around the world using this song and the dance as starting points. One billion women raped around the world is a statistic that must be ended. We can no longer stand around and accept this situation as the norm. Equally as important we must train our boys that this is not manhood. We must put teeth in the rape laws and insure that "Boys will be boys" is no longer the standard. No one asks to be raped. Choreography, lyrics and events around the world can be found on OneBillonRising. Join an event or create one. We must change this statistic. Michelle
Hi All! Today's Sunday inspiration is Beverly Bond, Founder of "Black Girls Rock".
For me the video shows one person can make a difference if you take that first step. BlackGirlsRock started from a desire (passion) Beverly Bond had to do something to work on young black girls self-esteem.Who could have imagined that BlackGirlsRock would have mushroomed like this in such a short period of time and that so many big names stars would get behind the program. If you don't take that first action than nothing will ever happen.
What's your passion? What have you been afraid to take that first small step to start? Remember if you don't take that first small step, you will always wonder what could have been. Yes, as my finger is pointing at you my thumb is pointing back at me. Smile. So, I'm going to take my small step and get the second blog going that will concentrated solely on international business. What's your small step? What did you think of the video. You can see this year's entire program here If you would like to find out more about Black Girls Rock program for young girls you can go here Looking forward to your comments
Hi All! Today's Sunday Inspiration comes from Oprah Winfrey. I'm not a fan because of her hangups about light complexioned Black women. I fit square in that scenario. Yet I understand pearls of wisdom can come from any source. Enjoy.
So how have you followed the path she teaches in this video? Have you been able to do it all? Giving up control can be hard to do so what's your story? I'm looking forward to reading your comments. Michelle
