Thanks You to Our Veterans Past Present and Future

Hi All!

Today is Veterans Day and I personally want to thank the men and women of the armed forces. Who put their life on the line daily so we can sit back here safe and sound and talking noise.

Veteran's Day in America was November 11.2012. Yet today is the official Day of Celebration. Our Armed Forces do an awesome job of carrying out there duties sometimes with out the respect they deserve being given to them from folks back home (Black Veterans of both World Wars, Vietnam Veterans, etc). Many times without support from the very folks who sent them overseas (our troops bringing sent into battle with non-reinforced armored vehicles (The Army unit that refused to go into battle in non-armored vehicles). God Bless them everyone.

The time has come for the civilian heads of Congress and the military to treat our soldiers with the respect they deserve. To make the troops pay their own way home from combat is a travesty. I think it is so sad that the very people who are so quick to send our soldiers over have never served or sent their kids over to serve. What's wrong with this picture.

The Veteran Administration hospitals have to be cleaned up and held to a standard of care to compete with the best facilities in the country. Monies have to be allocated for Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) and other trauma related ailments. Funds must be set aside to help with veteran homelessness of men and WOMEN. Funding for veterans businesses has to be increased. Many National Guard  Reservists have had to do ridiculous rotations of duty. Many have lost their jobs due to this and it is absurd to ask an employer to hold a job open for three or four years or more. Its just not going to happen.

We the American Public who have benefited from our courageous men and women of the Armed Forces must take up this mantle and insure that those who have safeguarded us are taken care of when they return back to the States.

We are going to have to petition and hold our representatives accountable for carrying out this important agenda. They keep us safe its now its our turn to say Thank You.

To All The Veterans and those current serving serving Thank You and may the Lord give you a mighty reward for all that you have done.

If you would like to add your thanks, share memories or just leave a comment feel free to do so.

  1. thanks for taking the time to be grateful for our troops. It's a reminder to even, at the end of the week, be thankful for their sacrifices.

Stopping by to say "aloha" from An Aloha Affair and to invite you to join us this week. We are now live and are ready to mingle. I can't wait to see what else you've been up to this week.

    Aloha,
    Nicole

  2. Glad your sites live. If our troops weren't making the ultimate sacrifice then we couldn't do what we do. We have to keep them in our prayers.
