These cuties made front page of Artfire.com

I used to do a lot of shows before health issues ended that avenue for me. I sold a lot of earrings so it was nothing for me to have a hundred pair made up.

I found a stash of beaded earrings I hadmade up and forgot about. So I've started listing them on my Artfire (http://artfire.com/michelles)  and etsy (http://wirequeen.etsy.com/) accounts. These two pair made the front page of Artfire.

The Yavapi Nation Rocks

I took my daughter see the Ohio Players and the fireworks at the Yavapi Nation reservation (Ft. McDowell Casino). I'm originally from Detroit. Detroit and Windsor Ontario put on one of the best fireworks in the US bar none. We always had bragging rights on having the best.

The fireworks the Yavapi Nation put on was AWESOME. The finale was hundred of smaller rockets that when they exploded sounding like "TALKING DRUMS". I know Native Americans and Africans both use the talking drums, but this was incredible. You had to be there to experience it, absolutely amazing.

They were also expert at moving large numbers of people. For the thousands there crowd movement was the best I've ever seen.

The Ohio Players for their age and how long they've been together could still get a crowd on their feet. Loved the show, especially their anthem "FIRE".

I love This Video about Black Women

I love Ledisi's video about being a Black Woman. http://bit.ly/azL91t

I love our full lips, style, not haughtyness but hangtyness (LOL)big legs and junky trunks. There's nothing like being a Black woman , no matter what the world throws at us we thrive and survivor.

Peace.
