Review of of the movie "Colombiana"
I took b'girl to see ""Colombiana" starring Zoe Saldana. I guess Zoe is the new female action heroine. The movie was quite an adrenaline rush. Yes, it was a drug related movie, so it was bloody. B'girl covered her eyes in certain parts.
Yes, I covered my eyes too in some scenes. I loved the movie's action scenes. I've always joked about women being deadlier than the male. This movie put that into play. Saldana was excellent in her single mindedness.
Go, it was a good way too sped a Sunday afternoon after walking the mall. B'girl's actual favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
As always you click on the title go to my site to purchase a "pretty".

Scottsdale Arts Fest 2011: Two Artist On Old and One New
We attended the Scottsdale Arts Fest on Saturday. Now the second highest rated arts festival in the United States. I dragged Baby girl along to get her away from the computer. (My tweener, ever the sarcastic critic, complained that it was the same artists every year.) We then wandered into this artist booth and it was her first show ever. So can I say I discovered Tracey Saliba of Spring Flowers Studio and her "Flower Girls". Smile These are welded metal that she turns into Flower Girls about 4 or 5 feet tall. They are Uber cute. She also does Vases and Flowers the same way. Baby Girl collects artisan flowers so she had to have one. Thanks to Tracey's art we were off and running. (Read no more this is "sooooooooooo boring") Smile. Tracy can be reached at Springflowersstudio@gmail.com
I went inside the Camera Obscura which was an awesome experience. There were three different size cameras set up. My camera skills in the darkened room do not do justice to the moving image that was reflected onto a table top. The image was crystal clear. It was a moving picture show.
Anyone who knows me knows I love color. I loved this guys work. I asked what was his favorite piece and he stated the Vase. The top one is mine. Sorry, but I can't find his name.

This is Scottsdale so the weather was perfect for an outdoor show, a balmy 89 degrees with no humidity. New this year were the gourmet food trucks and the wine garden. Linda Haddad and her team as always does a marvelous job with kids section. We decorated made paper hats.
So much was going on this week end it was hard to decide what to do. The Ostrich Fest in Chandler (I kid you not), GoodFellows car show in Scottsdale, Devoured (All inclusive Taste fest) at the Phoenix Art Museum. These are only the ones I can think of off the top of my head.. People back home wonder why I have a hard time getting back there. Smile
