Pinterest.com Tools: Pin-A-Quote

Hi All

Here is another tool for making Pinterest.com work for you. Pin A Quote is now ShareASImage.com. "Share As Image lets you highlight text anywhere on the web and easily convert it into an image. With the PRO version you can choose fonts, colors and text size! Once you've created your quote image, you can share it on Pinterest, Facebook or Twitter! "

Try out the free version to see the kind of things you can do with Share As Image. There is also so a pro version for $2.99

I have foxfire installed on my computer so I went to the site grabbed the icon and planted it on my toolbar. Very easy for me to install.

I went to yesterdays post, highlighted the text I wanted and then clicked the share icon on my toolbar .

After you highlight and click you're offered the option of uploading to Pinterest, Facebook or Twitter. I didn't want to do this , so I used an app called take a web screenshot. which I uploaded to paint and saved. I know you should be able to take a screen shot on your computer, but I've had to have virus removed and my computer has been tempermental every since. So this little app has been great at reducing my stress.

ShareAsImage is a great little tool for bloggers because sometime you just want to use your words. Considering how often memes (those pictures with quotes and or images) are shared across social media sites this is a great way to get your content out there and shared.

If you've used ShareAsImage.com (formerly PinAQuote) and/or Take a web screenshot leave a comment and let us know what you did with it. Leave a link so we can view your handy work.

See you tomorrow.

Pinterest Tech Tools: Pinerly.com

Hi All

I promised tech tools for using Pinterest.com for business.
So you've written a great blog post, and you've got a handle on spreading the word via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and all the other social media oldies. But what about Pinterest, the Web's newest social media heavyweight?

Pinterest, albeit relatively new to the social realm, has managed to claim a huge following in a short time. The image-driven social network has also become one of the top sources of traffic for many websites.
Not to mention... Pinterest is undoubtedly a blessing for retailers and artists because it gives them a chance to easily show off and share images of their products and creations.
However, if you're a blogger or content marketer who uses words more than pictures, generating buzz using Pinterest may not be as easy, but where there's a will, there's a way.

We'll start with four tools today.

The first tech tool to look at is http://Pinerly.com.  Pinerly works as a dashboard to grab photos, track your re-pins and whose doing the pinning.

1. Pinerly
Which of your posts hit it big on Pinterest? Which pins actually lead to a site visit? Answer all those questions (and more) with Pinerly. This tool serves as your Pinterest insights dashboard that allows you to keep track of the "repins" and "likes" that you're content is getting. Pinerly even allows you to see how many click-throughs to your site each pin received.
Pinerly is still in invite-only mode, but you can leave your email address to receive an invitation. I received mine two days after I entered my email.

2. Share As Image (formerly Pin_A-Quote)
Share As Image allows you to highlight text anywhere on a website and instantly convert that text into an image. Just grab the bookmarklet from the Share As Image website, and you're good to go.
To pin text, highlight the words or paragraphs that you wish to pin and hit the "Share As Image" button on your browser. The bookmarklet will then generate a pinnable image containing the text you highlighted.
Share As Image also has a PRO version for users who want more customization. For $2.99, you'll be able to change the quote's font, color, and background. Excellent for bloggers and word smiths. Smile

3. PinAlerts
Think of this tool as Google Alerts for Pinterest. PinAlerts gives you a heads-up via email whenever someone pins something from your site, ensuring that you never miss an opportunity to thank the people who pin your images.
As with Google Alerts, you are in charge of the frequency of your alert emails. Whether you wish to receive alerts as the pins happen, once a day, or once a week is completely up to you.

4. Pinstamatic
Pinstamatic allows you to add locations, music, quotes, Twitter profiles, and websites to your Pinterest board. If you've ever wanted to promote a Twitter account, event, or even a song on Pinterest, Pinstamatic will give you the tools to do so. The site even has an automatic post-it generator that's perfect for pinning clever quotes or lines from your blog posts.

Give these a try and check back tomorrow for more aids to use Pinterest.com to promote your business. Let me know what you think of them.

New Jewelry: Copper Bangles

Hi All!

A very busy week. Training on Search Engine Optimizing. I needed to learn how to use Google AdWords tool for  finding better keywords. Once I got the hang of it, I felt much more in control.

I made new pieces and wanted to share them with you. I had some thick copper round wire in my box. I grabbed that and some beads and here are the results.

I've just added these to my etsy shop. They're $45.00 each. The bohemian bangles can be made with any number of stones.

I'll be blogging this week about Pinterest.com and tools to help you get the most our of Pinterest. I am again participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge for the whole month of July,  31 days 31 blog post. This challenge I'll also video blog some of the days.

Using Pinterest for Business?

If you're thinking not another social media site, then think again. This one is free and may yet rival Youtube. Why? Because its visual and extremely easy for folks to share.

Here is an interesting example of how one company is using Pinterest for business.

What do you think? Do you see a way Pinterest can be used to extend your brand? I'd love to hear how?

Are you on PINTEREST?

I recently discovered Pinterest. I love it. I now understand why its so much fun and addictive. I've seen folks who have as many as 23 boards.

To explain Pinterest let me quote from their about section.

Pinterest is a Virtual Pinboard.

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. To get started, request an invite

I'm posting jewelry, antique cars, other artist whose work I like. Join me at http://pinterest.com/wirequeen.

What will you pin?
