Forgiveness Is Hard To Practice March 11, 2013
Hi All!
There's a lot going on this week. I'm starting a new giveaway to celebrate my birthday which was last week. I didn't do the week long series this year as I did last year. I've started a new business.I'm finally able to practice forgiveness in the situation below.
I'm finally starting to see improvement in my health after being hit from behind by an SUV as I was crossing the street. (Yes, I was in the crosswalk and had the light). As you can imagine this has been as much a trial mentally as it has physically. I'm a firm believe in the law of forgiveness. Yet this situation has been especially hard for me. This happened right after the election. There was so much craziness after the election. Witnesses didn't understand how he could not see me. As I lay face down on the ground I heard someone screaming at the driver (my heroine), "how could he not see me". I'm 5'8.5" inches tall, so I'm not a small target. My physical therapy realizing how much being hit was affecting my recovery kept working with me to mentally release my anger and hostility. After all it was only hurting me and the driver had probably gone on his merry way.
As I finally began to heal and the doctors started getting the things done that they should , I've been in a lighter mood and have been able to release my anger. I'm taking one last MRI and then no more. I'm going to start glowing in the dark from all the radiation I've been exposed to from x-rays, MRI's and cat scans. I am well aware that thoughts are things and this anger was manifesting in my body and slowing down my progress. Knowing and practicing something can be a trial, so I had to get out of my own way to move forward.
